The Garageband engine seems to like to lag behind and stay there when playing live, forcing me to stop and start playback of the guitar amp track to "resync" the audio in time with my playing. I've been very impressed with its features and performance.įor a while, I've fought to get Garageband to just play with low latency. I recently tried out Mainstage on a whim when I realized that it was more suited to live performance and practice than Garageband is. I don't record at all, but I've loved the variety of amps and keyboards available in Garageband, and have been enjoying using it to get better at playing music. I've been using Garageband since it came out for guitar/keyboard practice.
